bullet Dog Team Race: Team-One patrol of eight, one of whom acts as driver, the other seven are huskies.  Each team equips itself with one sled and seven pieces of rope 4 feet long.  At start huskies and driver line up in front of sled with the driver in the rear and next to the sled.  At the starting signal huskies tie their ropes together (knots used optional) and the driver fastens it to the sled.  Huskies pull sled with driver to it to finish line.  If the driver falls from the sled or ropes come untied before finish line is reached, the team is disqualified.
bulletSnowball Throw For Distance: Team of four.  Each member allowed one throw.  Greatest aggregate distance wins.
bulletSnowball Throw For Accuracy: Team of four to throw at target.  Each hit to count one point.
bulletArctic Explorer's Last Hope Race: Either homemade or purchased fire-by -friction kits may be used in this event, and any Scout who has previously produced fire may enter.  First Scout to produce fire wins.
bulletIce-Rescue Race: Team of eight-One patient and seven rescuers.  Equipment-Seven pieces of rope each 4 feet long. 
Patient lies on ice 24 feet from an imaginary shoreline drawn on the ice.  Team lines up 25 yards from this line.  At the start they run to the short-line, tying ropes together there or while on their way.  Team captain throws rope to patient, who is not allowed to move except to catch the rope.  He is then dragged to the shoreline.  When across the line, patient rises and runs to the starting line.  First to arrive wins. Overstepping "shore line" disqualifies.
bulletSiberian Sleigh Race: Team of nine-One messenger of the Czar, and eight horses.
Equipment--One sled with pulling ropes. 
Horses I and 2 are stationed at post No. 1. 
Horses 3 and 4 are stationed at post No. 2. 
Horses 5 and 6 are stationed at post No. 3. 
Horses 7 and 8 are stationed at post No. 4. 
This is a relay race. At the start the messenger jumps on the sled. He is pulled from post No. 1 to No. 2, where horses are changed and so on around the course, changing horses at each post.
bulletCross Country Ski Race (300 yards): Open to all Scouts who bring their skis.
bulletSkate Jumps For Distance: Three entries per troop.
bulletSkate and Sled Race (50 yards): Team of two from a troop, both on skates.  Equipment-1 sled with pulling rope.  No. I on skates pulls No. 2 to turning point.  Here they change places, No. 2 pulling No. I to the finish.
bulletSled Antelope Race (100 yards): Team of eight with one sled. Seven men grasp each others belts as for regular antelope race.  Last man in line also holds sled rope, which is looped about his waist.  Eighth man on sled. Run to a point dragging sled, turn and come back to start.
bulletSnowball Rolling Contest: Any number of entries from a troop.  Snowball one foot in diameter will be allowed each contestant at the start.  From the start balls may be rolled for five minutes.  At the end of that time, action must cease.  Balls will be measured through the greatest diameter.  The largest ball wins the contest.  A special prize will be awarded to the winner.
