Any number of players allowed for this game, which has often been played at a dinner table or around a campfire.

The first player begins by naming a geographical place, such as a mountain, river, city, state, or nation; the next player gives another name, which must be geographical and the first letter of which must be the same as the last letter of the name given by the first player; and so on around the circle, again and again, until all have dropped out by failing to think of a suitable name and the one remaining is the winner.

For instance, first player names Alabama; second player names Arkansas, third player names Saskatchewan, fourth player, the Nile.
