By Keith HudyThis is not apple cobbler, but it has apples in it... Apple Dumplings
Cut each apple into 8 sections, giving you 40 pieces. (you can peel the apples if desired) Cut each biscuit in half, giving you 40 pieces of dough. Wrap each apple section in a biscuit dough. Lay these in a 12 inch Dutch Oven Melt the butter, sugar & water. Pour this mixture over the top of the apples. Sprinkle generous amount of cinnamon over the top. Cook for 45 minutes (12 coals on bottom and 14 coals on top). You will know it is done when the dough is golden brown. This is fast becoming a troop favorite. Keith Hudy SM Troop 24 Athens, AL |
